What a fabulous year we have had and its not finished yet. We had our first concert for 2024 on Saturday 20th April with the Mevagissey Male voice choir and sang to a full church a wonderful start to our 2024 season.

We had Chudfest which was a new one for us in the town of Chudleigh, we also had a great time with our proms in the caves concert at Kents Cavern in Torquay. In July we Joined the Brixham Orpheus Male Voice choir for their 70th anniversary concert at All Saints Church in the heart of Brixham.

In August the choir joined the  Kidderminster Male Voice Choir and other choirs to sing at the Severn Valley Railway Anniversary event. Our  Poppy Appeal and the Festival of Remembrance followed by our Christmas concerts in the caves at Kents Cavern Torquay. were well supported.

The Choir would like to thank all who supported us through 2024 and we are now back in rehearsals preparing a new repertoire for the 2025 season

About Us

The Torbay Police Choir was formed in February 1972, and held its first outing in March that year at Newton Abbot police station. In its modern form, membership consists of a proportion of retired police officers and civilian staff, but also has a roughly equal number of members from all walks of life. Currently there are almost 30 active members in the choir, but there is no upper limit to numbers so anyone interested to learn more about choir membership please click “Contact”. Recently the choir has changed its name to the Torbay Police and Community choir, we are a progressive choir under the directorship of Hannah Spooner and to top that we have a great social life.
